About
I am a PhD candidate with the Norwegian Research Council-funded SEATIMES project, at the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Bergen, Norway.
I research human-whale relations through whale tourism, whaling, and science. I’ve also studied the hunting of Greenland and basking sharks in the northeast Atlantic.
I teach interdisciplinary social and cultural approaches to the oceans to undergraduates and master’s students; more info here www4.uib.no/en/studies/courses/sant285-13
